What information is collected?

The services contained in this section enable Happy Mediterranean Life (The Company) to monitor and analyze web traffic and can be used to keep track of User behavior.

Log Files

Managing contacts and sending messages

This type of service makes it possible to manage a database of email contacts, phone contacts or any other contact information to communicate with the User.

Contact form

Users may choose to receive email updates via AWeber by submitting an email address to the email subscription form. The Company uses a secure opt-in subscription system and Happy Mediterranean Life reserves the right to contact subscribers with information related to this website and blog. Subscribers may unsubscribe anytime and every email delivered will contain an “Unsubscribe” link.

When leaving a comment, users must submit a name and email address. To combat spam, the WordPress commenting platform also records the IP address of anyone submitting a comment.

Again, none of this information will be shared with anyone.

Removing Your Data

Your information is stored on a list server that delivers content and messaging. Your information can only be accessed by those who help manage those lists to deliver email to those who agree to receive material from Happy Mediterranean Life.

If you would like to be removed from the email newsletter, you can click the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any of my emails or you can simply use the contact form here to ask The Company to remove you.

These services may also collect data concerning the date and time when the message was viewed by the User, as well as when the User interacted with it, such as by clicking on links included in the message.

Happy Mediterranean Life abides by Facebook’s Data Use Restrictions.

Any ad data collected, received or derived from our Facebook ad (“Facebook advertising data”) is only shared with someone acting on behalf of the company, such as a service provider. The Company is responsible for ensuring that my service providers protect any Facebook advertising data or any other information obtained from Happy Mediterranean Life, limit the use of all of that information, and keep it confidential and secure.

Happy Mediterranean Life does not use Facebook advertising data for any purpose (including retargeting, commingling data across multiple advertisers’ campaigns, or allowing piggybacking or redirecting with tags), except on an aggregate and anonymous basis (unless authorized by Facebook) and only to assess the performance and effectiveness of my Facebook advertising campaigns.

The Company does not use Facebook advertising data, including the targeting criteria for a Facebook ad, to build, append to, edit, influence, or augment user profiles, including profiles associated with any mobile device identifier or other unique identifiers that identify any particular user, browser, computer or device.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Cookies
